FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, AARP IS A MONEY MAKING DEAL FOR AARP. THEIR "MONEY SAVING DEALS" ARE A SCAM TO LINE THEIR OWN POCKETS AND ADVERTISE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY OTHER SCAMMERS. MEDICAL INSURANCE AND AUTO/MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE COMPANIES IN PARTICULAR.
A RECENT SCAMEE..
My parents purchased AARP's med sup (thru United Healthcare) a few years ago. They were offered a discounted rate at first then after 2 years their premiums increased 18%. It was a scam. They now signed on w/Bankers Life & Casualty companies med sup, which they should have in the beginning. Bankers is consistent and dependable.
