What You Can't See

Boca Raton, Fla.

The dark spots are sharks gathering. The three people in the upper left... time to get out of the water! And if those are not three people... it's still time to get out of the water.

Soon.

That is a lot of sharks!
I went to Cornwall in 1999 with some friends and camped out for a few days to watch the eclipse.
On the way back two car loads of us took a detour to a beach on the north coast and decided to take a swim. It was bollock shrivelling cold but still kind of fun.
The next day back home at my parents I caught a news article saying that a shark had been sighted harassing swimmers at the same beach I had been at. Very unnerving at the time.

I'm originally from California, so we get Great Whites! Never saw one though, but they tend to eat surfers.

still quite rare though considering they are always there.
